Creative Spaces?

Passionate about building vibrant, welcoming communities? Join Heids & Herts for their one-day gathering to “connect, share ideas, and explore ways” to inspire more people to get involved.

From Heids & Herts …

Our villages and towns are full of potential—from community halls and local initiatives to the dedicated people who make them thrive. But with busy lives, financial pressures, and the digital age, sustaining community life is becoming harder. Through group discussions and informal conversations over tea and lunch, we’ll tackle the big question: How can our clubs, committees, and communities inspire others to join in?

This event is for anyone interested in strengthening community life in North East Fife and the East Neuk —whether you’re part of a local group or council, an artist, a community organiser, or simply someone who cares.

Be part of the conversation!

Come along and share your experiences:

  • Where: St John’s Church Hall, Bonnygate Cupar
  • When: Tuesday, 22 April 2025 10 am – 4 pm

A soup and sandwich lunch will be provided. Spaces at the event are limited – a maximum of two per organisation.

This event is made possible with grateful support from the Fife Council Local Community Planning Budget.

Heids and Herts Scotland were established in June 2021 to create, inspire, and promote social connections in the Howe of Fife through community arts projects.

At Heids and Herts Scotland, we believe in the transformative power of the arts to foster connection and community. Established to serve the vibrant communities of North East Fife and the East Neuk, our charity is dedicated to expanding everyone’s access to arts and creative activities.

In a world where social isolation and loneliness are increasingly pervasive, our mission is clear: to work alongside dedicated community builders to break the stigma surrounding these issues. Government data reveals that a staggering 15,000 adults—one in four—in North East Fife and the East Neuk regularly grapple with feelings of loneliness. It’s not just a statistic; it’s a call to action.

We are passionate advocates for the impact of arts and culture on community well-being. Our programs and events provide welcoming spaces for individuals to gather, share their experiences, and engage in creative expression. Art is more than just a form of self-expression; it’s a powerful tool that enhances social bonds and fosters a profound sense of belonging.

By weaving creativity into the fabric of our community, we can combat the growing epidemic of loneliness one connection at a time. Our initiatives not only enrich lives but also contribute significantly to the protection of mental health and well-being. Join us in our mission to create a more connected, supportive, and vibrant community. Together, we can harness the power of the arts to build bridges, break down barriers, and cultivate lasting relationships throughout North East Fife and the East Neuk.
