Ardgowan Hotel

The Ardgowan Hotel??and Pilmour Hotel is centrally situated in St Andrews within walking distance of St Andrews University and 180 yards from the world famous Old Course.

The Ardgowan was designed by the famous Scottish architect, George Rae, and was built in 1847. Now a family run hotel, The Ardgowan comprises of 29 comfortable en suite bedrooms across the two adjoining Georgian town houses. The Pilmour Hotel, located just next door, dates from 1820 and has a further 7 en suite bedrooms.

Rooms – Whether you’ve spent a day wandering the historic streets of St Andrews or have enjoyed a round on the golf course, you can come back to your hotel room and put your feet up. After a hot shower you can head down to our AA Rosette??Playfair’s Restaurant,??for a bite to eat, then retreat back to your room for the rest you need to prepare for the next day. There are many reasons for a visit to St Andrews, and as such we offer a variety of room types to suit your individual needs and budget.
