Wellness Retreat
St Andrews is winning a reputation as a destination for wellness – and the Old Course Hotel is at the forefront.
The iconic five star destination runs a series of wellbeing events – and they have just announced a weekend Welness Retreat this November. Billed as an “immersive overnight retreat” guests are invited to “pause, reset and gently restore“. Read on for more …
The weekend retreat is set against the beautiful backdrop of St Andrews. Every moment has been designed to help you “reconnect with yourself” – from guided yoga and meditation to deeply restorative spa rituals as well as invigorating cold water sea dips led by expert instructors.
Yoga & Meditation
Guided by experienced yoga and meditation teacher Rosanne Nieboer, the unique experience blends “gentle practices with meaningful reflection“, creating space for “calm, clarity and balance” ahead of the winter months.
Rosanne Nieboer has been teaching yoga and guiding meditation for over 20 years. Rooted in the Iyengar tradition, her work has evolved into a holistic exploration of the body, one that honours where you are, encouraging “a sense of ease, curiosity and quiet discovery“. Drawing on her extensive knowledge of the chakra system and the subtle body, Rosanne’s teaching is centred on “embodiment and connection“.

Through “gentle movement, breath and awareness“, she invites guests to “tune into the natural rhythms and energies within“. At the heart of her approach is the creation of a calm and supportive space – one where you can “slow down, reconnect and restore” in a way that feels both grounding and deeply nourishing.
Spa Renewal
Between sessions, you will be able to retreat into the award-winning Kohler Waters Spa.
Enjoy a 50-minute personalised treatment alongside full access to the spa’s hydrotherapy experiences, allowing you to immerse yourself in the restorative rhythm of heat and cold: from the warmth of the sauna to the invigorating chill of the plunge pool, each element of contrast therapy works to stimulate circulation, ease tension and restore balance, leaving you feeling deeply renewed.

Nourished …
Nourishment is an integral part of the retreat experience, with each meal thoughtfully curated by the hotel’s team of chefs to support your sense of wellbeing: from a fresh, seasonal lunch to a dinner inspired by local produce and a beautifully prepared breakfast in the hotel’s stunning Road Hole Restaurant, overlooking the Old Course – every dish is designed to restore and energise. Bringing together vibrant flavours and wholesome ingredients, dining becomes a moment to pause, connect and fully savour the experience.
Breathe …
The retreat offers a rare opportunity to connect with nature. Breathe in the crisp sea air on a coastal walk, embrace the quiet beauty of the shoreline, and return to the warmth and comfort of the hotel – where every detail is designed to “cocoon and restore“.
